According to Dr. Dyna Marisa Khairina, S.Kom, M.Kom, Enterprise Architecture (EA) describes the overall Information Technology (IT) elements within an organization.
“EA is seen as an Information Systems (IS) practice because it encompasses both business and technology perspectives. EA is a strategic planning document that serves as a clear reference/guide and plan for overall IS development. Information systems architecture is part of the EA layer,” explained Dyna Marisa Khairina, S.Kom, M.Kom.
According to her, good information systems architecture planning and development should be able to mediate the development of software systems/applications that align with business needs to achieve system alignment and benefits. “Organizations face challenges in ensuring that the IS they build is accepted and used effectively. Based on this, there is a need to develop a more integrated model that more deeply incorporates aspects of technology, organization, EA quality, and stakeholder perceptions,” he added.
