Diponegoro University DSI Study Program Implements Autofeeder for Freshwater Fish Farming

SEMARANG – The Doctoral Program in Information Systems (DSI) at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang successfully carried out a community service activity themed “Implementation of Autofeeder for Freshwater Fish Farming” at the Diponegoro University Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The UNDIP KHDTK is located in Mluweh Village, Kaligawe, Susukan, East Ungaran, Semarang Regency, and was attended by various parties from the village community as well as members of the community service team.

The KHDTK representative, Mr. Rizki Setiawan, S.H., as the Administrative Supervisor of UNDIP KHDTK, appreciated and expressed gratitude to the DSI Study Program for the autofeeder implementation event for freshwater fish farming.

“We hope similar activities can continue for the agricultural sector, namely automatic watering,” stated Rizki Setiawan, S.H.

The Secretary of the DSI UNDIP Study Program, who also served as the team leader, Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Rizal Isnanto, ST., MM., MT., IPU Asean Eng, said in his remarks that this community service activity is one of the Tri Dharma of higher education, alongside education and research.

“We hope this Autofeeder with digital timer technology for freshwater fish farming will be beneficial for the community,” stated Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Rizal Isnanto.

“The benefits and use of autofeeder technology in fish farming can improve feed efficiency and fish farming yields in the KHDTK of Mluweh Village,” he added.

This activity is part of the commitment of the Doctoral Program in Information Systems at UNDIP to contribute to local community development through the application of the latest technology.

The Diponegoro University Doctoral Program in Information Systems hopes that this activity can provide positive impacts for the people of Mluweh Village, Kaligawe, Susukan, East Ungaran, and strengthen the relationship between academics and the community.

The event continued with a practical session led by one of the DSI UNDIP students, Kurniawan Teguh Martono, ST., MT.

Participants were directly introduced to the usage of the autofeeder, followed by a Q&A discussion session. The event concluded with a group photo session and the handover of the autofeeder device from the DSI Study Program to UNDIP KHDTK.
